The 2021 harvest in the Novosibirsk region is behind schedule due to weather conditions, with 7.5% of the harvested area processed in the past week. The region has seen a trend of increasing grain prices for the new harvest, particularly feed grain, due to unfavorable weather conditions. Despite the delay, grain export deliveries have grown by about 40% compared to last year, with 122 thousand tons exported in September. However, concerns have been raised about the illegal export of grain from the region, which could result in a shortage in the spring. Authorities are analyzing the situation and considering measures to prevent illegal traffic.
