FGV: cattle, ore, and soybeans pressure wholesale inflation in the IGP-10 for November

By Daniela Amorim Rio, 11/14/2025 - The price increases in cattle (2.94%), iron ore (0.83%), and soybeans in grain (1.23%) led the ranking of pressures on wholesale inflation within the General Price Index - 10 (IGP-10) for November, reported the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). There was also pressure from coffee beans (2.51%) and beef (2.14%). On the other hand, reliefs were recorded in raw milk (-8.14%), automotive gasoline (-3.29%), husked rice (-7.68%), sugarcane (-1.08%), and wheat in grain (-8.67%). The IGP-10 went from an advance of 0.08% in October to an increase of 0.18% in November. The index accumulated a rise of 0.34% over 12 months. "The IGP-10 result was mainly influenced by the more intense acceleration in the prices of processed industry products in the IPA (Broad Producer Price Index), especially those linked to food, such as beef, soybean meal, and crude soybean oil," says Matheus Dias, an economist at the Brazilian Institute of Economics of FGV (Ibre/FGV), in ...
