FGV: drop in agricultural and livestock commodities drives wholesale deflation in IGP-DI for October

By Daniela Amorim Rio, 07/11/2025 - The declines in the prices of commodities such as coffee beans (-1.30%), wheat (-9.71%), and soybeans (-0.36%) drove the deflation in wholesale measured by the General Price Index - Internal Availability (IGP-DI) for October, reported the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). There was also relief from raw milk (-7.83%) and husked rice (-8.54%). In the ranking of main wholesale pressures in October, beef (1.87%), iron ore (0.43%), poultry (3.50%), grapes (24.84%), and English potatoes (24.02%) stood out. The IGP-DI went from an increase of 0.36% in September to a decrease of 0.03% in October. Over 12 months, the index accumulated an increase of 0.73%.
