São Paulo, 09/29/2025 - The General Market Price Index (IGP-M) rose 0.42% in September, following an increase of 0.36% in August, the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) reported just now. The rise was above the median of Projeções Broadcast estimates, which was a 0.32% increase, with a floor of 0.20% and a ceiling of 0.47%.
With the result, the indicator now accumulates a 0.94% decrease for the year and a 2.82% increase over the last 12 months.
The result was driven by the advance of the Broad Producer Price Index (IPA-M), which rose 0.49% in September, following an increase of 0.43% in August.
There was an increase in agricultural producer prices (-0.52% to 3.57%) and a decrease in industrial prices (0.75% to -0.55%).
On the other hand, the Consumer Price Index (IPC-M) went from a 0.07% decrease in August to a 0.25% increase in September.
