By Anna Scabello São Paulo, 06/16/2025 - The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S) moderated its upward pace to 0.25% in the second four-week period of June, after an increase of 0.41% in the previous period. The information was recently released by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). With this result, the IPC-S now accumulates an appreciation of 4.32% in the last 12 months and 2.78% in 2025. There was a decrease in six of the eight groups that make up the IPC-S from the first four-week period of June to the second: Food (0.31% to 0.04%), Housing (1.04% to 0.78%), Transportation (0.19% to -0.07%), Health and Personal Care (0.51% to 0.29%), Clothing (0.52% to 0.42%) and Miscellaneous Expenses (0.18% to 0.10%). On the other hand, Education, Reading and Recreation (-0.25% to 0.18%) and Communication (-0.19% to 0.08%) gained strength.
