By Juliana Garçon Rio, 07/17/2025 - All stages of the Wholesale Price Index (IPA) processing recorded sharp drops in July, with special emphasis on raw coffee beans, and contributed to the 2.42% decline of the wholesale indicator within the General Price Index - 10 (IGP-10) for June, the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) reported. In June, the decline was 1.54%. The IGP-10 went from a reduction of 0.97% in June to a decline of 1.65% in July. The index accumulated an increase of 3.42% in 12 months. "In July, all stages of IPA processing recorded sharp drops, with special emphasis on raw coffee beans, which were among the main drivers of this dynamic," noted Matheus Dias, economist at the Brazilian Institute of Economics of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (Ibre/FGV), in an official statement.
