On November 24, Vietnam's Hoa Binh province exported 5,400 red Tan Lac grapefruits to the United Kingdom, marking the first time this fruit has been exported to that country. This successful export is a result of collaborative efforts by the provincial horticultural sector, cooperatives, and local community in Tan Lac district. The district has dedicated 1,523 hectares for citrus cultivation, including grapefruits and oranges, with an estimated yield of 22,200 tons. The export is anticipated to inspire local farms to further exports of other horticultural products. The local farmers have been encouraging the use of science and technology in cultivation and the application of organic fertilizers.
