The Peruvian fishing sector is focusing on diversifying its product line and expanding both nationally and internationally, particularly through aquaculture. The sector aims to achieve the commercial development of new products and operate at 70% of its capacity by the end of the year, with full employment expected in the first quarter of next year. From August 27, foreign fishing vessels must have satellite monitoring equipment to enter Peruvian ports, helping control the capture of these vessels and provide a better supply of raw material for the local industry. This measure is seen as a step forward in combating illegal fishing.
