Poland's agri-food exports experienced a nearly 4% increase in the first five months of this year, reaching a value of EUR 14.5 billion, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. This growth is part of a consistent annual trend since Poland's EU membership. These exports have found their way to 190 countries, with the European Union being the primary market, accounting for over 70% of revenues. The highest-earning exports were to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Non-EU countries, especially the UK, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and the USA, also showed strong demand for Polish agricultural and food products. Despite the economic impact of the pandemic, Polish exports outpaced imports, leading to a 7.6% increase in the positive trade balance to EUR 4.7 billion.
