Moscow has experienced a 3.7% increase in food production from January to October of the current year, according to Maxim Liksutov, the city's Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry. The production of meat, fish, dairy, bakery, and confectionery products has seen substantial increases, with meat products leading the growth at over 8%, and fish production nearly doubling. Dairy production has increased by 7.4%, and bakery and confectionery products by 5%. This surge in food production aligns with Russian President Vladimir Putin's emphasis on enhancing the country's food production, and is facilitated by Moscow's support for companies to improve product quality, expand product range, and increase production volumes.
