For the first time in a year, oil fell below BGN 4/liter wholesale in Bulgaria

For the first time in a year, the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT) noted that the wholesale price of sunflower oil is below BGN 4 per liter - BGN 3.90. During this week, it became cheaper by BGN 0.21 (-5.1%). The price of oil started to skyrocket exactly a year ago. At the beginning of March 2022, it was sold on the commodity markets for an average of BGN 3.47 (including VAT). In just one week, traders have added more than BGN to the one-liter bottle, and the price has skyrocketed to BGN 4.72. At the beginning of July last year, sunflower oil reached an annual and multi-year peak of BGN 5.27 wholesale for not entirely clear reasons, especially when it is known that from spring to the end of autumn, the import of cheap sunflower from Ukraine is at full capacity revolutions.
