Due to the decrease in temperature conditions, the likely risk for the normal overwintering of winter crops could be a lack of heat for the full autumn development of a significant number of underdeveloped crops. This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. In the last days of the decade, an atmospheric front from the northwest and a cyclone with its center over the northern part of the country caused precipitation in the form of rain, and in some places wet snow. Frosts of varying intensity were observed in the air and on the soil surface almost throughout the country. The agrometeorological conditions of mid-October were generally satisfactory for the vegetation of sown winter crops. Due to significant rains observed in the previous period, there was a replenishment of productive moisture reserves, which contributed to the friendly emergence of winter crops.
