Yordan Chorbadjiyski, the chairman of the Management Board of the National Chamber of Vine and Wine in Bulgaria, has forecasted a minor price increase of 2-3% for Bulgarian wines in 2024. This is due to the higher grape prices in 2023, resulting from lower yields caused by unfavorable weather conditions. He also highlighted the domestic trend of increased sales of white and rosé wines over reds and advocated for equalizing Bulgarian wine sector subsidies with European ones to enhance global competitiveness.
