Forecast of rain and heat during the week in Brazil

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) reported that between February 9 and 16, 2026, the highest volumes of rain are expected to be concentrated in areas of the Central-West, North, and South regions of Brazil. According to the forecast, the most significant accumulations are expected mainly in Mato Grosso and Goiás, in the Central-West, in areas of western Amazonas and the south-central part of Pará, in the North Region, and in Santa Catarina over the weekend. Inmet also points out that temperatures are expected to remain high in much of the country during the period analyzed, with emphasis on the Northeast and South regions, as well as the west of Mato Grosso do Sul, the north of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and Roraima.
