Tajikistan's state institution 'Forestry' in Guliston village aims to collect 700 tons of pomegranate harvest this year. The head of the region, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, has instructed to efficiently use the lands of the forestry fund and create new gardens. Between 2016 and 2020, the region expanded its garden area by 3947 hectares, including over 100 hectares for pomegranate orchards. A new pomegranate variety, weighing up to 1 kg, has been developed by gardeners in the Darvaz district of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan.
