Former Jeonnam Provincial Assemblyman Park Sung-jae (Democratic Party of Korea, Haenam 2) argued during the review of the "2026 Agricultural and Livestock Food National Budget Proposal" at the 395th regular meeting of the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Committee that "the land-based improvement project should now move beyond the method of drainage channel improvement and proceed to the level of land consolidation through land re-survey."
