The article reports on the withdrawal of a defective batch of cranberries imported from Russia to Poland due to issues like visible fermentation and juice leakage. Although EU regulations permit the import of food products from Eastern countries, Polish authorities in Poznań stopped 18,320 kg of these cranberries from entering the market. The article questions whether the fault lies with the Russian exporter for sending unusable fruit or the Polish importer for opting for a low-cost option, while also noting Poland's insufficient domestic cranberry production and the continued possibility of importing food and fertilizers from Russia.
