The Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Lublin, Poland, has prohibited the circulation of a 21,000 kg batch of frozen raspberries imported from Ukraine due to the presence of rotten fruit with visible mold and atypical color. This is part of a larger issue, with the Polish services already seizing 300 tons of defective frozen raspberries from Ukraine this year. Despite returns of defective batches to exporters, such imports continue. The highest import of frozen food from Ukraine occurred in September and October, aligning with the peak harvest of autumn raspberries.
