Four records set as Vietnam hosts first-ever world tea fest 2025

Lam Dong (VNA) – The World Tea Fest 2025, Vietnam’s first international-scale tea festival, officially opened in Lam Dong province on November 11, promising a month-long celebration of tea culture through a diverse blend of cultural, artistic, and economic activities. The festival features four remarkable records: a mass tea-brewing performance by 1,111 artisans; the preservation of a 100-year-old tea factory; the participation of beauty queens from 80 countries; and the display of 1,000 ancient tea trees, each several centuries old. The festivities began at the historic 1927 Tea Factory —Vietnam’s oldest tea processing facility— which still operates with its original machinery. The opening day also launched an art, photography, and music workshop themed around the factory’s century-long legacy.
