France and the United States were the main destinations for the hearts of palm exported by Peru in February of this year.

In February 2025, Peruvian heart of palm exports saw a significant increase of 45% compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 624 tons. These exports were delivered to six countries, with France and the United States being the primary recipients, accounting for 45% and 26% of the share respectively. The exports were predominantly handled by Caynarachi S.A. with a 95% share, and to a smaller extent by Cooperativa Agraria del Palmito APROPAL with a 3% share. A total of 21 buyers were registered for these exports.
