France continued to downgrade its corn crop

The Ministry of Agriculture of France has lowered its estimate for the production of corn in the country in the current agricultural season by 400 thousand tons compared to the forecast from a month ago to 10.7 million tons, the electronic publication APK-Inform reported. If the ministry's expectations are justified, the corn harvest will remain as much as 4.5 million tons below what was harvested last season. The reason for the unfavorable correction is the lower than expected yields. The harvest in France is practically over, and the remaining amount of less than 1% will not be able to significantly affect the bottom line. Estimates for rapeseed and sunflower harvests are unchanged from a month ago at levels of 4.5 million tons and 1.8 million tons, respectively.
