Turkey's fresh fruit, vegetable, and fruit and vegetable products sectors saw a 9% increase in exports in the first half of 2024, generating $3.8 million in foreign currency. The sectors aim to reach a target of $6 billion for the year, having achieved 51% of that target in the first half. Notable increases include a 20% rise in fruit and vegetable product exports. Russia was the leading market for fresh fruits and vegetables, while the USA led the market for fruit and vegetable products. The Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association saw a 4% increase in exports, with tomatoes, tangerines, and cherries being the most exported products, and the USA showing a significant demand for Turkish apple juice.
