Fresh Malaysian durian can be enjoyed by Chinese consumers within 36 hours

NANNING: After signing a quarantine inspection agreement with China this year, Malaysia exported the first batch of fresh durians to the Chinese city of Zhengzhou via air transport last August and the cargo was then distributed to be sent to a number of other cities. It means that fresh durians exported by Malaysia can be found in the Chinese market within 36 hours only and durian lovers in China are lucky because they can taste fresh Malaysian durians without setting foot abroad. Previously, sea transport for frozen durian using liquid nitrogen imported from Malaysia required two to three weeks. This was revealed in the 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) which is taking place in the city of Nanning, Guangxi province, China. There are 30 percent of the main exhibition zones in CAEXPO 2024 which are operated by foreign exhibitors with most of them from ASEAN countries.
