Russia's wheat exports for September are expected to approach 6 million tons, a 30% increase compared to last season, with the figure potentially becoming the highest for September in the past six years, says Elena Tyurina, director of the analytical department at the Russian Grain Union. Traditional buyers such as Egypt and Iran have seen decreases in wheat purchases, while countries where there were no or insignificant shipments last season, such as Indonesia and Yemen, have seen significant increases. European wheat prices have risen by 2.9% over the week, while Russian wheat prices have fallen by 1.6%.
