Gangwon Agricultural Technology and Extension Services, full-scale launch of Gangwon native mulberry industrialization

Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province has initiated a full-scale movement to systematically foster and expand the market for its representative local specialty, the native mulberry industry. The Gangwon Agricultural Technology Institute (Director Kim Dong-hoon) held the "2025 Gangwon Native Mulberry Industry Development Plan Seminar and Variety Exhibition" in Chuncheon on the 9th, sharing various opinions on improving the quality of native mulberry and industrialization strategies. Five topics were presented at the seminar: new varieties and industrialization plans for Gangwon mulberry, quality standardization and storage-based distribution strategies, cultivation management technology, processing and new product development. Presenters emphasized the importance of establishing an industrial system that links the entire process from production to processing and distribution.
