Gangwon Province, K-salmon facilities to begin full operations early next year

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Global Headquarters is actively pushing forward the creation of the K-salmon industry ecosystem, a core strategic business of Gangwon's Blue Economy. Currently, the province is focusing its administrative capabilities on creating the core infrastructure to nurture the K-salmon industry as a future growth strategy industry for Gangwon. It is rapidly establishing a blue food industry base connecting Gangneung–Chuncheon–Yangyang. Among these, the Gangneung Smart Salmon Research Institute (test bed) and the Chuncheon Juvenile Salmon Production Center will complete construction this year and start full-scale operations early next year.
