The soybean and biodiesel chain is projected to experience a 19.88% growth in GDP by 2023, according to a study by Cepea and Abiove. This growth is expected to be seen in all segments of the GDP, with input and agroservices sectors experiencing significant growth. However, despite the positive GDP result, researchers note that income increase in the chain might only be 0.42% due to unfavorable pricing. Additionally, the chain saw an increase in employment, with a 12.64% growth in the employed population compared to the previous year. The chain also experienced growth in exports, driven by higher prices and increased quantities of biodiesel.
