Georgia has run out of wheat

Georgia is facing a critical shortage of wheat reserves, with mills expected to cease operations soon due to the active import of flour. According to Levan Silagava, the head of the Association of Grain and Flour Producers of Georgia, the country's wheat reserves have been depleted. This situation is further complicated by the significant import tax on wheat of $120 per ton, contrasted with the zero import tax on flour. This situation does not meet the United Nations' recommendation of maintaining a two-month supply of wheat.
