Georgia has the highest and lowest prices for cucumbers at the same time

The EastFruit price monitoring tool shows that Georgia has the highest prices (among EastFruit project countries) for long, smooth, greenhouse cucumbers and the lowest prices for short pimply cucumbers. Data Source: Price Monitoring Tool by EastFruit In the second week of 2022, the average wholesale price for long smooth greenhouse cucumbers in Georgia was $2.59/kg. This is on average 67% higher than in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Russia and Poland. Compared to the same week in 2021, prices in Georgia more than doubled by 112%, from $1.22/kg. Prices for Georgian long cucumbers tend to rise seasonally at this time of the year as supply from local greenhouses begins to wane.
