Saxony is implementing a three-step plan to prevent the spread of African swine fever from neighboring Poland, where there have been numerous outbreaks. The plan involves clearing the border area of wild boars, monitoring the population, and enlisting the help of hunters who will be paid for their efforts. France and Italy have also agreed to collaborate more intensively in combating the disease, establishing a contact group to exchange information and coordinate strategies for managing wild boar populations and preventing further spread.
