Germany increases exports of rapeseed and soybean meal

Germany in the period from July to November 2023 exported about 783 thousand tons of rapeseed meal, which is 30% higher than in the same period of the previous agricultural year (603 thousand tons). Such data were published by analysts of the national association UFOP (Union for the Promotion of Oil and Protein Plants). According to their estimates, the German product is mainly exported to other EU countries. The key importer, as well as a year earlier, was the Netherlands, where shipments increased by 32% – up to 334 thousand tons. Shipments to Denmark also increased by 8% – from 85 thousand tons to 92 thousand tons. Finland increased its purchases by 46% to 79 thousand tons. Sweden (49 thousand tons), Spain (47 thousand tons) and Ireland (42 thousand tons) are also among the key buyers.
