Germany: New outbreaks of avian influenza

The most recent infections were found on farms in the counties of Münster and Gütersloh (North Rhine-Westphalia). In total, the disease was found in approximately 8,090 geese, chickens, ducks and other bird species. For the first time in a long time, cases of avian influenza have been reported in North Rhine-Westphalia: around 8,000 poultry (ducks, geese, chickens) are infected in the district of Gütersloh.
