Wet conditions in southwestern Ontario have resulted in high levels of inoculum of phytophthora, according a report from Ontario’s ministry of agriculture, food and rural affairs. Ginseng is susceptible to “sporangia of the fungus, which are pouches full of swimming zoospores,” the report said.
