Global almond production is expected to rise next season, primarily thanks to increased output in the United States, the European Union, and Australia, according to the United States Department of Agriculture. The agency’s latest biannual report, Tree Nuts: World Markets and Trade, projects global almond production will increase by nearly 10 percent to 1.8 million metric tons (shelled), the highest since 2020-21.
