Surprisingly good exports of Polish apples to India and Saudi Arabia in February

Despite opinions about price stagnation and not very good exports, the data for February are satisfactory. India is the most surprising… Let's start with the key information, i.e. the number of apples exported outside the EU last month. In February 2024, it amounted to 32 thousand tons, a year earlier it was 2.5 thousand. tons more, and two years ago it was practically the same. So, compared to the worse results from previous months, there is good news. According to PIORiN data, the largest market for Polish apples outside the EU in February was India (9,424 tons). Let's remember that it is mainly Gala and Red Delicious sports that go there. Almost 10,000 tons of apples sent to a distant market in February are undoubtedly a success for fruit growers and exporters. Kazakhstan was in second place (6,500 tons, slightly more than last year).
