The Central Statistical Office has reported a 2% increase in the rape and turnip rape harvest for 2021 compared to the previous year, totaling around 3.2 million tonnes. The cultivation area for these crops also saw a 1% increase, covering approximately 1.0 million hectares. Despite the cold spring weather, the condition of the rapeseed plantations was generally good, with only 0.4% plowed due to poor condition. The harvest season, which started in late July and ended in mid-August, faced challenges due to unfavorable weather conditions like frequent and abundant rainfall, which made it difficult for combine harvesters to operate.
