Poland: Gooseberry prices is on its 4th year below production cost

Gooseberry purchase prices are once again extremely low. 2021 so far is the fourth year of sales below production costs ... Producers inform about the ratings offered by processors for gooseberries this season. Unfortunately, the black scenario for this genre is true. In the Lublin region it is about PLN 0.50 / kg. It is worth noting that so far not many plants are buying this species. Growers talk directly about "starvation prices" and their consequences. First, after this season, the next growers will remove some or all of the gooseberry plantations. After several years of adding to production, it is not surprising.
