The Portuguese Government announced a subsidy for national farmer organizations, ranging from 51,000 to 84,980 euros, to support their costs in providing consultative services to European institutions related to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The subsidy is apportioned to the Confederation of Farmers of Portugal (CAP), the National Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives and Agricultural Credit of Portugal (CONFAGRI), the National Confederation of Agriculture (CNA), the Association of Young Farmers of Portugal (AJAP), and the National Confederation of Young Farmers and Rural Development. The beneficiary organizations are required to submit a semi-annual evaluation, an annual evaluation of their activity plan, and a financial report. The funding for this subsidy is sourced from the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
