Government approves subsidy for agricultural associations that represent Portugal in Brussels

The Government announced that it will grant a subsidy to national organizations representing Portuguese farmers, and affiliated with European professional organizations, which support the community decision-making process of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The order, published in the Diário da República (DR), and signed by the Minister of Agriculture, José Manuel Fernandes, points out that the financial support, of between 51,000 euros and up to almost 85,000 euros, aims to support expenses incurred in the provision of services of a consultative nature with European institutions. “The aforementioned normative order establishes the criteria and procedures for granting this subsidy, as well as the obligation for beneficiary organizations to present a semi-annual evaluation of the action carried out within its scope, an annual evaluation of the activity plan and the financial report ”, reads the Government order.
