Iran's government is set to facilitate the implementation of the world's largest saffron trade deal, worth $300 million, signed between Iran and Qatar. The deal, signed on September 18, stipulates the export of 200 tons of saffron to Qatar for processing and then exporting to global markets. The first shipment of saffron, worth $15 million, is ready to be sent. This contract is expected to have a positive impact on Iran's domestic saffron market and aid in the export of processed saffron, adding value to the precious spice.
