Peru has resumed its grape exports to Ecuador following an agreement between the National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA) and Agrocalidad of Ecuador. The bilateral meeting, held in the Tumbes region, reinstates the phytosanitary requirements for grape exports to Ecuador, potentially reaching 18 million consumers. The agreement is expected to boost bilateral trade and is part of MIDAGRI's efforts to prioritize two products for each country under the Loja Action Plan. Grapes are a key export for Peru, reaching 53 markets, and the resumption of exports to Ecuador is anticipated to strengthen Peru's position as the world's leading agro-exporter of grapes.
