The São Paulo state government, led by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, has announced a financial injection of R$600 million in accumulated ICMS credits to support the agricultural machinery manufacturing and animal protein producing sectors. This announcement is part of a larger package of measures worth R$1.4 billion, set to be revealed at the Agrishow event in Ribeirão Preto. The goal of this support is to create favorable conditions for agribusinesses, stimulate the São Paulo and Brazilian economies, and modernize tax administration. Agribusinesses with active establishments in São Paulo, within certain National Classifications of Economic Activities (CNAEs), will be the recipients of this financial boost, aiming to increase liquidity, encourage investment, and create jobs in the sector.
