REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman declared the government's readiness to allocate funds for the rehabilitation of agricultural land affected by floods in Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra. The budget is prepared for new rice field planting in areas that suffered total damage, seed and seedling aid, as well as support for agricultural tools and machinery for land that can still be restored. Currently, the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) is collecting data on the level of damage to determine the intervention needs in each region. Field recovery is scheduled to begin in January 2026 after the verification process is completed. The central government is also coordinating with the National Disaster Management Agency, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs to ensure that all aid packages run simultaneously and effectively.
