The rate will increase from 12% to 18% for processed cheeses, such as Roquefort, Camembert, Brie and Gorgonzola, as well as butter and butter oils. Gecex also amended Resolution 353/2022, approved last year, which made a general 10% cut in import rates for more than six thousand products. According to Perosa, the collegiate made an exception for 29 items in the dairy sector whose tariff will rise by 10%, from 12% to 14.4%.
