Russia's grain harvest for 2022 reached 150.7 million tons, marking a 24.2% increase from the previous year, according to Rosstat. The harvest also included 15.3 million tons of sunflower seeds, 41.7 million tons of sugar beet, 18.6 million tons of potatoes, and 13 million tons of vegetables. However, the harvest of sunflower seeds was down by 2%, sugar beet by 1.2%, potatoes up by 3%, and vegetables down by 3.1%. As of December 1, 2022, the sowing area for winter crops was down by 3.8% from the previous year.
