In brief: • Harvests in Argentina and China break records • Tunisia made new purchases of wheat and barley After the euro's quotations weighed on European wheat prices all week, they finally broke through, falling below the psychological 190 euros/ton for the March contract. Thus, after this contract reached a low of 188.50 euros/ton on Thursday, on Friday – at closing it ended the week at a rate of 189 euros/ton. Corn also ended with a decrease to 186.25 euros/ton (for the March contract), making the difference between the two crops extremely narrow. Corn prices received support in the form of delayed Ukrainian imports into the European Union. The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy estimates the export of corn for 2025/2026 from the start of the season at 4.4 million tons, compared to 8 million tons at the same time last year.
