Chile: Green roofs - Research with a focus on sustainability

The Valparaíso Region has a strategic program to promote sustainable fruit production (PER Frutícola), so through the results of this research, an organic walnut handling manual will be generated that will be transferred and delivered to farmers, advisors , extension workers and other stakeholders, as stated by one of the objectives of the project "Development of a protocol for the production of organic nuts." This project, financed by Corfo through a contest for "Strategic public goods for competitiveness", aims to contribute to improving an existing agroecological model that considers the management of plant or green roofs, the use of plant materials as biofertilizers and the interaction with natural enemies.
