Glastuinbouw Nederland responds to a press release in which Natuur & Milieu (N&M) states that too many pesticides are still ending up in water. The cause is the report ‘Pesticide-free cultivation as an answer to too many pesticides in the water around greenhouses’ that the nature organization published this week (available for download at the bottom of this article). N&M states that additional steps are needed to improve water quality around greenhouses. According to Adri Bom-Lemstra, chair of Glastuinbouw Nederland, the greenhouse horticulture sector had already reached the same conclusion earlier.
