The Stavropol region in Russia has seen a 13% increase in the production of greenhouse tomatoes in 2022, reaching over 79,000 tons, making it the country's leader in tomato production. The main production areas are in the Predgorny, Kirov, and Izobilnensky districts, where a variety of tomatoes are grown. From 2023, the regional vegetable growers will receive over 227 million rubles in state support as part of a new program aimed at the development of vegetable growing, which is included in the state program for the development of agriculture in Russia.
