Grower prices in Huelva, Spanish strawberries +20% in week 10

The soft fruit report for week 10 from the Andalusian Observatory of Prices and Markets confirms the sharp rise in prices "due to the decline in supply caused by adverse weather conditions." The average producer price increased by 20.7%, but at €1.81 per kilo it was still below the €1.92 per kilo of the same week in 2021. The harvest yield of raspberries and blueberries, on the other hand, increased slightly and producer prices also moved in the same way. The average producer price of both soft fruit varieties increased by 2.6% compared to week 9. At € 6.89 and € 5.58 per kilo respectively, this is also still less than € 7.74 for raspberries and blueberries. €6.12 per kilo from week 9 in 2021.
