Russia: Growth in production of greenhouse complexes recorded in Chuvashia

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic, 12,821 tons of vegetables have been harvested in greenhouses since the beginning of the year, which is 1.6 times higher than last year. The most popular were cucumbers - 7 thousand 518 tons (last year 5 thousand 452 tons), in second place are tomatoes - 5 thousand 251 tons (2 thousand 257 tons). In addition, the collection of eggplants increased 2.4 times - 51 tons of this product have already been produced in farms, in 2020 21.1 tons were produced. According to the specialists of the department, the increase in production volumes is due to the entry to the design capacity of investment projects in the greenhouse vegetable growing industry.
